Having had vibration pump machines and then getting a Brewtus IV - R, I would definitely go for the rotary. Plumb the unit as well and then everything is easy-peasy (as Jamie would say). You're spending big money anyways, take it the little extra distance and get the whole enchilada - that being said, we have great water where we live and we don't have to pretreat at all..........
