I should rephrase one of my last responses. After re-reading it, I did not mean to direct a negative response to Todd in regard to his insight into this topic.
What I meant to say is that I do not think it is directly related to having the Cafiza stripping away all the coffee oils away, thus causing the stiffness. What my experience is, that it is really stiff and is cause for concern long term. That may be one of the reasons why it gets stiff after cleaning, but if that is the case, then there must be a preventative application of a FG grease to keep it lubricated between cleanings??? In any event, any and all advice is welcomedŠŠ..and MANY thanks to all that have provided their feedback. -Tony From: Benjamin McCafferty <[email protected]> Reply-To: <[email protected]> Date: Tuesday, February 12, 2013 3:18 PM To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> Subject: Re: E61 Brew Lever a bit stiff after Cafiza cleaning Hey Herman! Curious whether Cafiza strips the grease too, i.e. do you have to reapply whenever you clean? I also use a food grade grease called "Keg Lube" that might fit the bill--used for disconnects on homebrew equipment. best, bmc Sent from my iPad On Feb 12, 2013, at 8:43, herman dickens <[email protected]> wrote: > It's dow 111 and I've been using it for years.
