One thing you should know, Jeroen, is that some folks who live where Rob
lives would take offense at being called a Yankee. In the US, "Yankee"
is a term meaning someone from a particular region (and that definition
varies from place to place), and in Houston, Houston isn't anywhere
*near* any place that has "Yankees". Then there's that pesky baseball
team in New York.... (I know we have fans of them here, but I was
raised a Red Sox fan, so anything I say about the NYY team should be
taken in *that* context.)

Now, I know that Rob didn't take offense, I don't think anyone who's
been on the list for awhile would take offense, but I'd recommend that
when you visit the US, you be careful about how you throw that term
around. (Especially if you go to Mississippi.)

Just a friendly cultural clarification.

(Just for the record, is there anything I should avoid calling anyone if
I go to Europe?)
