I'm not sure I got this one right, Julia. But to cover my butt completely I must point out that the "I thought this guy was crazy!"-remark wasn't supposed to offend - it was meant in a good way. I probably left out the positive-vibe-smiley. However in these times I can't blame you if you misunderstood me. No matter what I won't take part in verbal mud-slugging - so of course I wouldn't want to start one either. (I just love this mailing list - when the listers are in a good mood). Now having made my point pretty clear, I regret to inform you that although there is nothing like a good rebus to stimulate the mind, I simply don't have the routine to decipher that sort of English.

I think Reggie gave a good detailed explanation; if you still have questions after Reggie's post, ask, and one (or maybe more) of us will be happy to explain. (I will, if no one else beats me to it.) Asking for a clarification is usually welcome. (And quite often, there will be someone just itching to respond if the question is asked.) Being dismissive when you don't understand something isn't as pleasant. And if Erik is crazy, it might be along the lines of "crazy like a fox" (or should that be "crazy as a fox"? I can't remember now), which I'm not sure I can explain very well right now, but I'm sure that someone else could. (I have asked Mark off-list to explain something in one of his rambling posts, and he was quite nice to me in his response, and clarified the bit I didn't get.) Julia
