Well, given my family history, I'm definitely at risk
of a heart attack, but it's not because of stress. At
least 50% of my graduating class works hours like
this, Jeroen - 70 hours a week would be _great_ for an
investment banker. My friends at Goldman Sachs break
100 hours a week routinely, as do associates at any
major New York law firm. It's not quite as bad in
other cities, but those hours are routine in any
McKinsey office anywhere in the world. Lots of people
thrive on that sort of schedule, actually - I don't
know if I'll be one of them yet, but there are people
who have been at McKinsey for 30 years. Not many,
admittedly.

I believe that the Euro-dollar conversion is still
around 1:1. While I'm not going to tell you my
salary, I can assure you that it isn't anywhere close
to five digits in a month. That would be nice :-) I
don't get paid by the hour, so I don't get overtime.
You don't get overtime for almost any profession in
the US, so far as I know. My parents (a physicist and
an engineer) don't either.
