I'd have to agree; I know many adults who still haven't quite mastered 
multiple email accounts and/or methods of access.  If we're going with 
webmail, when finishing the graduate machines and configuring the CIN 
dialup accounts we can remove the toolbar icon for Evolution (POP3 
client) at the same time.

Is it too much to show them how to compose offline using an editor, 
and then copy and paste the actual message when online?

My $0.02  - @gmail.com is the way to go.

Either way, we can set up those accounts when we get the CIN dialup 
account information using the same username if possible.  The kids can 
learn how to view and change their account information (set the 
password to something they will remember, for example) during their 
final email class.  Comments?
