So far we've only done the short tidal trip between Brentford and Teddington 
and back.  On both occasions we were poddling along comfortably at about 
1800 rpm  -  far from flat out -  compared with our usual 1600 rpm or so on 
the GU.  This didn't warm the engine betyond its usual running temperature. 
In fact the only time I've seen the slightest upoward quiver in the engine 
temperature was when we were struggling hard  (not on the tideway)  with a 
load of weed on the blade and nowhere convenient to stop to get it off.
