Correction to yesterdays report. The lesser dignitaries were not in a
Joey Boat but in the Dudley Canal Trust boat " Electra" before anyone
threatens to sue me.

Not a bad mooring last night, we walked the dog and there is room for
dozens of boats to moor and all covered by CCTV if anyone is looking at
them. The only down side was the clock, it strikes every quarter of an
hour day and night and it was striking the wrong time.
The weather this morning was much improved but the flow of traffic
didn't assist us much, we only met 3 boats and they only gave us one or
two locks, all the rest were against us. We stopped at the Stuart Glass
museum at lunch time for a couple of hours and found it very enjoyable.
While we were in there we had the first of many rain showers, they
didn't last long but were very heavy, one giving a lovely rainbow.
As we left the museum we could hear banging and saw debris falling into
the canal. We thought at first it was workmen on the derelict Buildings
but then realised it was glass/plastic being knocked out of the top
floor windows. I hit reverse to avoid it and a face appeared at the top
window with a piece of 4 X 2 timber in it's hand. I grabbed the camera and
pointed it to the window, no time to take a photo but that didn't matter
as 6 young gentlemen left rapidly by the back door. We continued down
the flight with no problem, passed Stourport Junction, I noted that the
arms are still missing from the sign post (where they ever replaced) and
then the Stourton Flight down to the Staffs and Worcester canal where we
turned right and moored just beyond the 5 day visitor moorings.
