The other boats that were moored with us were away well before us, I
looked out at 6 30 and saw the boat ahead making ready. The strange
thing is we passed them all at Market Drayton.
The weather was fine but not that warm this morning but did improve this
afternoon, at the moment it looks as if its about to rain and the wind
has picked up a lot, but hopefully it will stay fine until all the
volunteers at the national get everything stripped down. We had a very
good run down the Adderley flight meeting a boat in every lock and not
waiting at all, it was a different story at Audlem where we seemed to
take for ever, there was a chap ahead in a small cruiser single handing
but he didn't appear to be the hold up, we didn't meet much but we
didn't flow from lock to lock ether. We stopped just below the Shroppie
Fly and walked back for pint and look round Audlem Mill. After that we
decided we would stop for the night and move on again in the morning.
