Harnser's present position http://tinyurl.com/Harnser-s-route

Yesterday evening we had rain and then last night we had more rain so I
don't know what state the National site would have been this morning,
luckily we have not had any rain today and the pressure is rising so
hopefully tonight and to morrow will be dry.
At 3 am we heard a boat go by, we didn't feel a thing, unlike when the
hire boats went by latter. We set off at 9 15 which was a mistake as we
ended up as tail end Charlie on a convoy which put us sixth in line for
Wheaton Aston lock, Once through the lock we noted that BW have
designated the bank past the winding hole as 48hr moorings which would
make life difficult for any 70 footers wishing to wind. We had planned
to fill with diesel at Wheaton Aston but they were closed, I think I
have only managed to buy diesel here once in all the years I have been
boating. We carried on to Norbury Junction, here they were selling
diesel at 69.9p lt s we took on 122 lts for cash, its a quid extra if
you want to use a card. Their toilet pump out is situated right beside
their cafe outside seating area, we had a pump out the other day so we
couldn't see the reaction of the eaters. We carried on towards Tyrley
but a boat we met in the cutting informed us that a tree had blocked the
cut all day and boats had only just started to move. He thought there
were about 9 boats waiting to go down. Once at the top of Tyrley locks
we found there were only 4 boats waiting, but as it was now 6-30 we
decided to stop for the night just before the water point (which is out
of action) at the top of the Flight.
