A late start today with very overcast weather as we walked the dog from the second lock, round by the church and back through the town. We noted that The Bridge pub is offering WiFi internet access, also that the new canal side homes have the pub carpark and pub between them and the cut. We set off as a couple of boats were coming up the locks so things worked well, with the same thing happening at Baddington. Along this stretch BW are cutting the undergrowth around the bridge holes. Nantwich was very busy with lots of moored boats, we carried on to Hurleston Junction where we turned left up the Llangollen canal, there was one boat waiting to go up and one just coming out of the bottom lock. The waiting boat went up and then we had a good flow of one for one and did the 4 locks in 20 minuets. At the top of the locks we picked up a leaflet from the Shropshire Union Canal Society that lists all the rural moorings that they have sponsored. It wasn't long before the rain started, not heavily but enough to need a coat on. We carried on up through Wenbury and moored for the night just above the old lift bridge by the nurseries. -- Brian <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Join SOW and help save our waterways http://www.saveourwaterways.org
