Not necessarily! Firstly the excess on their insurance will be far higher than the cost of an individual trolley, so the company is paying one way or another! When returned some trolley to Toys R Us a few years back after retrieving them from the Nene the manager was happy to have them back. Replacements for damaged ones came from central budgets, but he was responsible for lost trolleys on his budget - a good incentive! Glen
