Thanks for the suggestion..
I Can't see how it would be much different than the Old cover..
The Impellor DOES rub the cover on Both the Old one and the New one.

I'm guessing that the "rubber" wouldn't wear anymore... than it would the Pump 
housing..

If you're not familiar with the SPEEDSEAL cover..  It's Very thick Bronze. 1/4 
inch or so.
I will be long dead before that bad boy would wear any amount to make much 
difference...

I just can't see what the heck the C clip is doing anyway..  LOL
