Hello
I have set a CD-ROM (COMPAQ CD-ROM CDR 8402B) and a
CDRW (LG CD-ROW CED 8083B). Both are atapi devices so I used ide-scsi
module. Although Mandrake 8.0 boots ok I have feeling that something
wrong. I haven't checked the list lately but it seems that ide-scsi is
broken on 2.4.0. I have also noticed that cdrecord 1.10 has a workaround
for the problem. However everytime I insert a Audio CD on the CDROM the
system freezes.
a) Would someone know what is wrong?
b) Per chance, does someone know if the
COMPAQ CDROM is a genneric-mmc device or something? Would it work as
"scsi" device?
Many thanks
Eduardo
