You have one device on the ide-scsi "controller" which I assume is
your CD burner. So that looks as expected. I can only report that I
didn't have any problems with a Plextor 32/8/4 unit on either of two
system. Unfortunately they are both since upgraded to 2.4.3 +patches, so
I can't easily try this over again.
Then again, I don't normally run scanbus, I just use the device to
read and write CDs. On one system it is the only CD, and is used for all
my uses, while on the other there is a 50x CD reader, 32/8/4 burner
(ATAPI) and 24/4/4 burner (SCSI).
There may well be a problem in -scanbus support, but I know for sure I
burned 20-30 CDs under 2.4.0, and under most of the test releases before
it. I probably rip no more than 3-4 CDs a year, so I might well have
never tried that.
Sorry I can't offer more help, I can tell you that 2.4.3ac9 seems to
work perfectly, I even tried a scanbus.
