Yes you're right. Alone in not providing affordable universal health care,
alone in having the greatest proportion of the population in prison (1 in 32
at last count), and spending the least on preventing the people from
returning.
Regarding semi-socialist countries. I grew up in Canada, and if the health
care system there is a hallmark of a socialist systems, then let me haul up
the red flag. To give one example, I kind of like paying far less for health
care, even though it may be in taxes, than the excessive rates for health
insurance that people pay here.
