My first real estate clients were super rich and we went out all the time and
they'd always buy the $600+ bottles of wine and I didn't get it, tasted like
cob webs to me. Just gimme some berringer white zin and Im good to go :)

When I was last in Paris the wine shop dude told me nobody in France
drinks Merlot. It's crap! He actually got mad when I asked for it. I
always preferred the dryer Cabernet anyway but my wife liked Merlot
and it's usually cheaper.

Any thoughts on this, was he way off?

Memories, the shop is on Rue Mouffetard, my favorite street in Paris.
