Since when isn't it? It's just a gov't imposed tax on businesses.
People have so few skills that they are literally a dime a dozen so
the gov't steps in and says, "well you can't actually pay them what
they're worth, so you'll have to throw money at them that they didn't
earn. And, uh, not taxpayer money. Your money. Dana doesn't have to
pay for this welfare, businesses do."

As to the multiplier effect, hey why not make the minimum wage
$200,000 per year? That would REALLY multiply, huh?

All a minimum wage does is tell people the worthless skills they have
may be worth something. That is, it keeps people from learning to
fish. If somebody wants a "living wage" they can build a skill set
that the market thinks is worth a "living wage", and then they'll have
it. The trick is they have to understand that fact to do it.
Subsidizing them inhibits that.

Back to my point: what is the minimum wage trying to solve? Poverty
or ease entry into the work force? My point is that by having a
minimum wage you take people who are trying to enter the workforce and
convert them to poverty. Why should they increase their worthless
skills? The gov't says they're worth a "living wage". Which is why
it's welfare.

The way to do away with the problem is to make sure people have the
skills they need to earn a living wage in a competitive work arena
without a gov't imposed welfare program that penalizes businesses.

The GG plan asks everyone to find their competitive edge in the
workplace; in essence to *earn* their keep, not just get a handout.

Will it work for everyone? No. But it comes a heck of a lot closer
to dealing with the real problem than a minimum wage which simply
treats the symptoms by spending somebody else's money.

In short, minimum wage = communism. BTW, I wonder what happened to
the USSR's multiplier effect? They should all be billionaires.

I don't understand what any of this last part meant.
