I think there is another use for unions that still exists though... and that's to equalize jobs. They ensure that employee A in one location is treated equally and fairly for the same job that employee B does in another location. It sets and maintains standards for the position as well.
Doesn't mean that it does those jobs well... but that's one of the intentions. >The need for unions is over. Back 80 years ago when a company could >make or break a town, you needed unions. Now you don't. You can jump >on the internet and find a job anywhere in the world. > >It's time for people to grow up and take responsibility for >themselves. If they want more money, find a job that pays more. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:188994 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
