Okay, so if it was simply a matter of paying the tips for his peeps,
and it was such a small amount ($3300), why not simply pay out of
pocket in the first place? Why dip into the campaign fund, and then
"mislabel" the transaction as "salary."

doesn't make the results any more palatable. a lot of decisions seem
to be, well, it's only illegal if we get caught.

I'll remember that for when I'm in office...

why? because one thing is _more_ illegal? more reprehensible? more immoral?

It's only a small bribe. It amounts to nothing really, in the big
picture...people do it all the time.

Stealing cable, Marge, it's a victimless crime...

Gosh, officer I was only speeding a little bit. What's the big deal?

I only fleeced the Injuns a little bit...

Arctic Refuge Drilling will have no significant impact on the
surrounding eco-system.

I guess one has to pick what they're willing to put up with. I'm fed up.

I don't like the idea that if I do something illegal and get caught, I
do time. Congress regularly gives the american people the shaft and
not only does nothing happen when they get caught, we get the
privledge of paying for it, too.

All right, tell you what, how about if we not only re-elect this
jackass (and his cohorts), we also let him vote himself anouther pay
raise, too?
