my son attended a Montessori magnet school for a while at one point
and did really really well. Unfortunately the school was run by the
public school system in Jacksonville FL, so there were a lot of things
wrong with it as well, playground security being the big issue for us
at the time. But it's a nice paradigm for learning, imho.
