Excuse me! What are we doing in Iraq?
Why did we go there? If memory serves me I think it had something to do with Sadam and his military / anti-American ambitions as well as freeing the Iraqi people from his tyrannical control. How do we achieve these goals by nuking Iraqis back to the stone age? I cannot and do not condone the violence and the attacks against Americans. F___ someone tried to kill my cousin. However, what percent of the Iraqi population do you think is attacking Americans? I doubt the were the innocent Iraqis we were trying to save from Sadam. There are costs associated with military actions. When we decided to go into Iraq we took on the responsibility of not only removing Sadam but ensuring a reasonably peaceful change of power. We have not been very successful at this aspect of the war. As much as I think this whole venture as been a horrible mistake. I do not see where the Kill them all let God (or Allah) sort them out mentality will gain us anything. Likewise, I don't see where pulling out and leaving the country in a full scale civil war is helpful either. We signed on for this damn war. We need to ensure some level of stability before we bail or we have created a worse situation than existed before we started this war. Sadam may have been an A__hole. He killed his own people, threatened Bush Sr. May have had nuclear ambitions etc.. But it appears to me as though the Iraqi people are much worse off today, especially if we leave. The region is worse off and that the threat of support for terrorism is much greater today in Iraq than during the Sadam years. How does nuking anyone help any of this? We need support from the international community and the regional leaders to help create a stable government and economy that can thwart the civil war that is currently in progress. how actions in Iraq have created the current chaos. We are responsible for this mess. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| ColdFusion MX7 and Flex 2 Build sales & marketing dashboard RIAâs for your business.
