You did.

You clearly made a claim of capability in order to convince another. In
other words you made a claim you felt was transferable to another's
experience. In this context it's obvious that you were not claiming any
special affinity with the Mac that makes you more productive than others:
your were presenting your experience as representative.

Why do you Mac people make outrageous claims and then invoke special
pleading whenever a little evidence is asked for.

Your statement is outright false. If it's not provide some evidence: one
usability study, one peer-reviewed paper.

If you want to stick by the "your mileage may vary" argument, fine. If you
want to stand by the statement as fact then put up or shut up - stop
providing anecdotal, unscientific evidence and then getting upset when
you're challenged on it.

We may simply say that your bizarre, extreme experience with Windows has
simply been followed with an equally bizarre, extreme experience with the
Mac - only the latter has been a good one.

I've already made it very clear that I'm, broadly, far from "anti-Mac".
Personally I hate them, but that's personal - professionally I use them,
test them and even recommend them sometimes. It is a personal preference
when you buy simply because both systems are so comparable in functionality,
usability and productivity.
