You're find dude.

A fenced back yeard, decent training, time and patience and what time you
can give is all they need. The kids will remember them fondly, growing up
together as they are.

*I* have virtually no time for the dog, my wife wanted her and got
her. I'm working 45-50 hours per week with almost 2 hours of commute
each day.

Then our vet and the breeder we bought the dog from both misled me.
The quote was something along the lines of, "with a dog this small,
she'll get most of the exercise that she needs running around the
house."

Regardless. Moxie goes outside and loves to play, of all things,
soccer! I try to take time to play with her and the kids play with
her as well, but there are times when she's home alone for most of the
morning and early afternoon.

The kids play with her but they're 5 and 2 1/2; in most cases she gets
too "jumpy" and gets put in the back yard.

Will have to google that unless you care to expand?

Thanks again for the answers!
