The tats I have are not controversial, so I guess that is why nothing was
ever mentioned about them. Also, I was in the maintenance field most of my
career. We did not have any issues about gangs/skinheads or what not. I
recently switched to infantry so we will see, but no, I never heard of this.
As I said, that does not mean that it never happened.

Maybe it was something from the infantry because we had problems with racist
skinheads, but from meps through every stage of my military career we had
tattoo checks.

I almost got put out because I have an irish pride tattoo on my stomach.
