For the most part, I do think that bringing food into a meeting is not appropriate. It seems no matter where you go, there is always ONE person that for some reason or another you just can't click with.
That reminds me of a meeting I had some time ago where during one project we would meet every morning for a few minutes. One of the guys brought in a carton of milk, a bowl and a box of cereal and started munching away on some crunchy cereal. It was so bad, I could barely control laughing.... aaah. some times.....
