I knew they existed, but they still suck as options, they are very
limited, and as you said, not at all intuitive.  The way I see it,
this thing should be broken up into two "sides" as options.  One side
(Simple Interface) would be for people like my parents who want to
watch TV, record the occasional show, set up a simple series
recording, etc.  The second side (Advanced Interface) I would like to
see some of the things we have talked about already, plus the ability
for us as watchers to "tag" TV shows as "like" or "dislike" and
wouldn't it be cool if shows had metadata that would allow the system
to suggest TV shows and movies that you'd like based on what you have
put in?  (Like Tivo, but accurate, more like Netflix).  Hell, I bet if
I spent a good 4-6 hours whiteboarding this out, I could come up with
something kickass, and I am not at all trained in this sort of thing.
