last I checked Peace Corps was part of the US government?? maybe it got
de-funded like VISTA, but it at least used to be in the same agency, and
you can't join unless you are a US citizen, since you are supposed an
ambassador of the US or some such reasoning. And let me tell you, when I
worked for VISTA my paycheck came from the US Treasury and when they
decided not to pass a federal budget that year I missed a paycheck like the
rest of the US government....
