You should be able to goto start > Run > regedit
and search for something in your SMTP settings in OE and then when you
find it right click on the file folder on the left and you pick export
and it will make a .reg file


then open it in note pad and modify. Walla he just double clicks the
file and it will load the files into the reg.

If I can create the files on the fly using CF the user could download it
through the Control Panel. Would I need to create different filed for
NT,
2K, 9x, millennium and XP?  Is there something similar for MAC?

Doesn't Outlook store its settings in the Registry? Can't you just send
him
a .reg file to double-click?
