Some poor persons being desperate does not excuse the employer from paying their employees an ethical wage.  Because its the TAXPAYERS who pick up the slack.  Its we who subsidize those people who dont' make enough to manage.

If a company is willing to pay their CEO that much, then someone will take
  the job.

If the same company offers 4.95 per hour for shovelling shit, and no one
wants to do it then they have to raise the wage, right? Now if someone says,
"Hey, I'll shovel that shit for 4.95 an hour" then the market for that job
  was correct.

As long as you have humans + society + wealth = corruption. No matter what
government, country or planet they live on.

Right...  do you know of a single person who can perform 10 million dollars
worth of work for a company in a year?  I don't.  But many CEOs get paid
  this much.  It's all corrupt.

Make welfare available only for the disabled who cant work. Everyone else
gets a job vacated by the departing illegal immigrants or wherever they
  can
    find work.

If someone shoots you on the street for your wallet and food, then they
should be punished to the fullest extent of the law (which should be the
death penalty in cases of murder)

As for minimum wage, I think a market economy dicatates a fair wage for a
    job done, doesnt it?
