But hand coding HTML just seems like building a car from scratch
just because I want to add some options...

Code generators, when they generate code that works well, even if it's
not as clean as it could be, are just so much faster when I'm working
on a design interface.

Do you write all your code, HTML and otherwise manually? Or do you
use anything that generates code?

Rick

I liked DW, but it was just so damn slow and resource hogging. And yes, I
went through all the diagnostics with several people here, there is nothing
wrong with my machine. I know several people, including two in my office,
who have the same issues with DW on their home and work computers. Now, I
dunno if 8 got any better, since I stopped using it after 2004. HomeSite+
rocks, IMO. But, I suppose, if you need a WYSIWYG, then DW prolly is the
best way to go.

Hand-code, Rick! WYSIWYG is for high school kids. :)
