Not neccisarily, the bigger and better the venue, the more it costs.
I know as I am looking into venues for cfdevcon 2007, I got some pricing on
olympia and it costs a bomb.

Not sure I get this argument.. Isn't this like saying Coca Cola should be
$100 a can as lots of people drink it...or that ColdFusion should be $50K as
it seems more people are using it..;

Surely simple economics dictate the price should come down if more people
are likely to come etc..

I think CFUNITED is a great conference, and if they're raising the price due
to increased popularity.. more power to them.

however, it annoys me that the early bird deadline is in 2006 for a
conference that isn't until the middle of 2007 and I won't get reimbursed
until late july.

I don't want to pay for next year's conference during this year's calendar
year.
