I would recommend against hosting on ADSL purely because its asynchronous ... effectively meaning data traveling in one direction at one time.

If you really wanted to go that path, SDSL would be the better option, however = more expensive.

Thanks,
Sarah.

Subject: [cfaussie] [OT] ADSL Q

Would anyone on this list pay to have their ColdFusion websites cheaply hosted on a ADSL line, or on a ADSL line with your own server? (And being able to put/use any CF tag or DLL on it....)

Do a lot of people have sufficient knowledge to host their own websites, i.e. run Apache, IIS, SQL Server etc.?

Is this an area only interesting to sell to end-users and not CF developers?

Cheers for any response.

Taco

PS. I hope this is not an inappropriate question to ask on this list...!!
