Herbert, This is all true, I got my car with the kit already ordered, and completly uninstalled, (the two existing wires were to the dome light) a big box of wires and a single sheet of instructioins. I thought "Oh s__T!!!" i had never done that kind of wiring. But i took a llok at it and just started it. The fuse block got mounted, (the plus with this is that it can be mounted anywhere, including the trunk, tell them if you are going to do that, and it is kind of big but it is nice. the new style fuses, screw on terminals, and the fuse block has all sorts of options) and i started working on the wiring for the idnition. from there i did the rest of the car in the order on the instructions. it only took about 4 days. if you have the stock harness you can dismantle the connectors and put the new wires on them. same with the light sockets. and a real plus with this kit is that the wires dont have ends on them, thus you can route them how you please. the only wires you can see in my resto-mod 66 is the ones going to the coil. it will not look stock when you are done but it will work great and can acomidate all the new-fangled amenities that are finding their way onto theses cars: power windors, power door locks, sterios, electric seats, electric fuel pumps, fans, a real heater/ac...... what you heard is right but it is a very adaptible kit that has very good quality and is highly coustomizable.
