I'm not 100% positive, but isn't collapsed trachea different from reverse
sneezing? It's my understanding that both are common among small dogs, but
collapsed trachea (which has another name) can sometimes need to be surgically
corrected, usually when they are older. I would be happy to hear from others on
this subject.

I am no expert but it sounds like "reverse sneezing" or it's also
called collapsed trachea. Usually nothing to worry about at all and very
common in Chis. They usually do it when excited or if they bump their throats
lightly on something. My Gizmo does it sometimes. When he does, I just
comfort him and pet him slowly until he calms down a little. Ask your vet,
just in case, but I think that's what it is with little Chico.

I also have a question though...sometimes I hear Chico makeing this
noise that sound like he is choking .. (like as if he was drinking
water to fast, but he isnt drinking water when it is happening ) he
does this every so often..does anyone know what that is?? Thanks
again
          everyone!!
