Dear List -
Had to jump in here. The reason CKCSC USA cannot become the "best"
registry and the reason it is impractical if not ridiculous to start
another registry is that we live in a big world where each country has a
kennel club (registry) that is recognized and has reciprocal priveleges in
the rest of the civilized world. In the U.S. it happens to be the AKC. In
England, it is the KC. IN Canada it is the CKC and so forth.
All of these other "private" registries (States KC, United KC,
CKCSC USA, etc) are powers unto themselves ONLY.
There are countries in the world where breeding is so regulated
you have to kill (cull) any puppies more than 6 in a litter.
There are countries in the world where the kennel club tells you
what dogs you may and may not breed.
America is the land of the free and the home of the brave. Let's
try to keep it that way and personally work on our own ethics and makeour
own "rules" to become the best breeders we can become. That is enough of a
project for any of us.
