Goodness me! I'm actually hearing voices of reason. Thank you JoAnn for
setting history straight. And Julie for your clarification and all the rest
who have opened your minds and been able to SEE.
I did a tremendous amount of legal research regarding anti-trust laws, etc.
I had an opinion letter done for the club by my own legal staff and at my
own expense. I gave it to Bob and begged him to see the reality and the
inevitable result. He was fully aware of what could happen. But,
unfortunately, he was far more concerned with the "damaging" of individuals
then he was with the welfare of the breed. It was almost an obsession. I
am truly sorry if some of you are offended but the truth isn't always
pretty. He did contact the AKC and asked that CKCSC,USA be made the parent
club but it was too late. You're right, JoAnn, "the late Bob Smith tried
gallantly to lead the club to the AKC but was defeated at every turn." The
end began when members were fed carefully orchestrated lies. Defeat came
the day the ballots were counted. There was no turning back. Sad, really.
