I can feel this discussion getting ugly.
Yes, Bob did say at times that he had to do as the club members wished, he
also said he was going to make darn sure they wanted what he wanted them to
want. And he was going to "protect" them from what they knew nothing about.
Bob was a strong man who knew how to get what he wanted.
He was very clear to everyone around him that AKC was not the way to go. And
several months later he was just as clear that he had made a terrible
mistake, not the club but he himself.
I still think had the members been given the entire story they would have
voted to become the parent club.
And I am done with this topic for the moment.....

I personally don't believe there was another group waiting to take over. The
breed would have been without a parent club for awhile. The breed would
have been recognized without a parent club. After that who knows...?
Probably the same group but without the law suits and fines etc.
