I am well aware of the guidelines Anne and also of the research in Sweden
and the guidelines laid down by the Swedish KC which incidentally from what
I understand is causing quite a few problems. I do and will continue to test
but I would never assume that because I do that somewhere along the line an
early onset MVD will not rear it's ugly head - as I said previously I have
been lucky so far that what I have encountered in my breeding programme has
been late onset (touch wood!)
It will be years if ever before a genetic test is found - maybe the collagen
research will prove beneficial.
