Promoting peace and harmony among nations is probably the objective of the United Nations. The objective of this list should be the sharing of experience and the exploration of new ideas for the betterment of the breed, which does include the opportunity for thoughtful debate. What I see here that is so disappointing is closed-mindedness and a strong resistance to new ideas in science and medicine on the part of some. If some procedures are unavailable that is understandable, but putting down those who desire to learn and improve the breed is not helpful. In the US, we already have plenty of people who breed Cavaliers with no regard to health or temperament, not to mention conformation. These people, whether you call them backyard breeders, puppy millers, or whatever, are producing dogs for profit. They well may ruin the breed, but the supposed best of Cavalier breeders, those on this list, should not be helping to bring about that sad state by refusing to change as new information and technologies become available. -- Barb Cooke [EMAIL PROTECTED] Galveston Island, Texas Cavalier Welfare and Rescue Puppy love is not age specific! ========================================================= "Magic Commands": to stop receiving mail for awhile, click here and send the email: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20NOMAIL to start it up gain click here: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?body=SET%20CKCS-L%20MAIL E-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] for assistance.
