Susan,

It is my understanding that all Cavaliers platelets need to be hand
counted, whether or not they have the jumbo platelets, and that the hand
count determines whether or not they have Thrombocytopenia.  In other
words, all Cavaliers with large platelets do not have Thrombocytopenia.
This is the way it has been explained to me.
