This endless thread is getting out of hand.  Is this going to be another
thing we are going to have to breed for?  Don't we have enough problems?
And how would you know if a pup is going to grow up to be a barker anyway?

Everything is relative,it is a matter of how much you (or your neighbors can
take).  I owned and lived with Rough Collies ( another of the herding groups
great barkers) they were never debarked and very well trained  But the noise
that came out of their mouths was not to be believed compared to a housefull
of cavaliers.  Did I ever regret not debarking them?   You bet I did.
