Thanks for checking Susan, and for even considering
the request enough to go that extra step. I hope we
do have a chance to meet in person some day, just to
*meet*, and not for a membership application. ;-)
I'll just keep my hunt going, and challenge myself to
be less shy around complete strangers at AKC shows!
This feels like a lesson in how to strengthen social
skills (lol).

Now, for a question for everyone who's been in
cavaliers awhile: Okay, okay, I'll just follow the
time-consuming and challenging steps of completing an
AKCSC membership application complete with
yet-to-be-met sponsors someday. It would just make it
a bit easier in the meantime if I understood why the
application is as it is. My assumption is that it is
something about protecting cavaliers, but I'm having a
hard time figuring out how these particular steps do
that. So, what is the ultimate goal that the
application process is attempting to accomplish, and
is the current application process the best way to
reach that goal?

As always it seems, I'm just trying to figure this all
out!

Thanks,

Robin McLeod (and Teddy)
Minnesota
