In what way, other than continuing to act as a registry body?
Aussies were not even in the Miscellaneous class when the AKC
recognized that breed. Here's a very informative site I found when
doing a search on that breed:

IMO, the old club needs to start acting as a club and to discontinue
acting as a registry. The additional fees charged for registration are
only being used to support the registration secreatary's cost of doing
business and the paper generated in registering the litters/individual
dogs. I believe those funds could be better spent by being directed
to health research. I have no problem with the club restricting their
show entries to club members and holding those members to their
code of eithics, but acting as a registry is not in the best interests of
the breed in my opinion.

Take care, Jackie
