It can and does happen from time to time. I think Elaine may have been
saying that although CKCSC isn't being fair by not allowing CKCSC members
to breed their dogs to AKC-only dogs, ACKCSC also isn't being fair by not
asking the AKC to reopen their stud books--it should go both ways. New
people, on both sides, are being left out inadvertently. Was that what you
were asking Elaine?"

Yes, Laura, that is EXACTLY what I am asking. Thanks. And I don't believe
I am alone on this one. If I am...how hard would it be for AKC to let me
register two little dogs. Most of the dogs in their backgrounds are
dual..just not their moms.

Don't know who the two breeders are who chose not dual register, but the
the breeder I bought my little girl from definitely dual registers their
dogs. The person I bought my boy from might well be one of the two who
chose not to dual register.

I researched the breed...not the clubs or politics. Too late smart.

When I took Cameo to an all breed heart/eye clinic recently, the people
registering the dogs looked at me as if I had grown another head when I
told them I did not have an AKC registration number...just CKCSC. They
acted as if this were a bogus puppy mill registry.
