Well, for starters, when I first joined the club, I hadn't the foggiest clue about what happened with the original 12, nor a hint about the AKC issue. I went in blindly. Once I found out about it, I was sure that it could and would be changed because it just seemed like someone had made a terrible mistake. I could hardly believe it hadn't already been changed. To say that it seemed like something that a bunch of third graders would do would be an understatement. Now, some time has passed. I've spent lots of time on this list and the Hoflin list and I've come to realize that it may never be changed.....certainly not if pet owners can control the vote. I love the pet owner, but I don't love them enough to invite them into my kennel to run my breeding program. Who among us does? So....herein lies the quandry. Do I quit the old club, and give up the benefits of the wonderful shows, fabulous friends, etc because I disagree with something they are doing? Well....or another way to put is...do I move out of the United States and give it up because I don't particularly like the president, hate paying taxes and don't always agree with it's policies? No. I don't. If you all feel better doing it, that's fine with me. I'll just stick around, pick and choose, enjoy the good, ignore the bad, and do what I want to do. That's pretty much what I've been doing for 58 years, and I've not ended up in jail yet. Myra
