<< I am sure you all get these inquiries also. How do you respond, or do = you? >>
I try to respond to each one. I have a general printed sheet of info that says "The following should be helpful as you research the breed and breeders..." It doesn't take that long to write a few personal sentences at the beginning and then send it to them. It covers what testing they should see certs for, registries (since in this area many bogus ones are used), red flags, books to read, some reputable websites with good info, etc. Many I never hear back from and many have written very nice notes of thanks, some telling me the info stopped them from buying a puppy from someone they now realize was not reputable. Some requests are rather annoying (especially those that don't even sign a name), but I still try to respond. I feel I owe it to the breed.
