<<<<<<<<<<<Annette tends to think the worse of people and Laura the best. >>>>>>>>
Glenn, Perhaps you just phrased this badly - perhaps this isn't exactly what you meant to say - but I think perhaps you are doing Annette an injustice. These lists are difficult as, like icebergs, they reveal only a little bit about all of us who post - and to make judgements about people on the basis of what they write here can sometimes be misleading! If you are going to condemn Annette's attitude, and Suzy's too for that matter, towards guarantee etc, then I have to tell you that you will be condemning half of the notable Cavalier breeders internationally........... it does not seem to be a common practice, other than in North America, for legal contracts and warranties to be involved in the sale of puppies - pet or show. Just because there are no contracts involved, does not mean that the breeders don't care or are unscrupulous. But Annette's approach and Suzy's is common in many parts of the world. I too don't feel that I should be providing "lifetime" insurance at no cost to the purchaser - there are insurance companies that do that.......you can do the best you possibly can to make sure the puppy leaves you with the best possible start in life but after that -its up to the new owners. Even when they do everything right - s**t happens. We all have disappointments even with the dogs we keep for ourselves!
