Truthfully, Suze, I don't think that parents should let children do the inquiry for a puppy. In fact, this is a big turn off for me and the family that I mentioned had to do some subterfuge to get the puppy because the little girl had been such a computer pest.
The mother called and never mentioned her daughter so that I didn't make the connection between her and my unfortunate IM experience. In fact, it was only as they were leaving that I realized what had happened when one of the parents called the little girl by name and the child glanced at me with that "startled" look that children get when they are found out. I didn't say anything, just smiled and sent them on their way with the puppy-- then went in the house and contacted Judy since she was mentioned by the mother in relation to Bucks Cty and I had told Judy about the IM incidents. By that time, I had met the family and the child, who was very sweet, bright, and precocious. I recently agreed to sell a puppy to a family where the child did the initial email, but the parents took over immediately after that. I don't mind that and depending on the child, it can be sort of sweet. However, I can see your point with this inquiry. What gets me most with email inquiries are the ones with no signature and those are usually adults, LOL. All the best, Susan Cochran ----- Original Message ----- From: "Susan A.
