Just to site one example, and i assure you my cavalier had no
"predisposition" to having any problems with the gentle dentle method. I did
use them via the cotw health clinic and my cavalier contracted some
infection/fungus as a result, (biopsy is yet to be done) and grooves in his
back teeth where the fungus is embeded, along with his mouth and lips. Once
some of this is under control, he can have some reconstructive work done on
his mouth to cut out the affected area. This was his first dentle cleaning
ever so he had no previous issues.

It isn't always money either, it is knowing a skilled vet is working on your
pet and not an untrained (or angry resentful) non-anesthetic alleged hygenist
who by the way told me when i declined to have my dogs teeth done after
having second thoughts, that i was being frightened by my vet against gentle
dentle because my vet wanted the money. Well, in retrospect i should have
listened to my vet and my cavalier wouldn't be facing the 8th month of
treatment after the cheap $25 scraping she did to him.

p.s. I don't want angry mail, i only wanted to say, sometimes the cheaper way
is that way for a reason. Some people love that method, great, i won't do it
again. I already know how many people swear by this method for all their 70
dogs and they've never had a problem. Just make sure you check the people
out, make sure the company you use isn't being sued by the State in which you
live, check all of that out first. do your research just like you would if
you were picking a vet, before you let them put their hands on your dog.
